Beverly Moris, CID
Principal, Library Interiors

Beverly Moris, Principal, started the firm, Page + Moris, with Principal, Kathryn Page. The firm's area of focus and specialty is libraries: planning and interior design. She has 30 years of interior design experience with emphasis on public and civic building projects. Libraries are her special area of expertise, and she has been responsible for the interior design effort of more than 10 major facilities. Her most recent projects include designs of teen centers for libraries in the Santa Clara County system: Los Altos, Saratoga, and Cupertino (underway). 2008 saw the opening of the remodeled public areas of Mountain View Public Library. The first two projects in the Page + Moris portfolio: San Mateo Public Library, and Alameda Free Library both opened in 2006. Under previous employment, Ms. Moris was responsible for the interior design effort of San Francisco Main Library, UC San Francisco Medical Library, Sacramento Central Library, and the Peter Shields Library at the University of California, Davis. She works with many architectural firms and end users to translate their design concepts and needs into a well-functioning, responsive interior. She has in-depth knowledge of library furniture and interior finish materials.

Ms. Moris believes that specifying affordable and appropriate materials, finishes, and colors is the key to interiors that can take heavy wear and stand the test of time. She is the author of “Library Interior Finish Materials” for the Libris Design website sponsored by the California State Library. At present, Ms. Moris is working on several California library projects ~ Charlotte’s Web Children’s Library, New Tulare Main Library, Berkeley Central Library, and 6 of the Sonoma County Branches.
